The Research and Business Development Center (RBDC) sources projects that work for the classroom environment. As a contract service provider to BYU-Idaho, the RBDC finds business and organizations that have project needs that fit with a variety of classes across campus. These clients are looking for value-driven results as students learn certain skills or topics in a class. These projects may only be a small part of the course and cover a few weeks of the semester. Other projects are much greater and span the entire semester and comprise almost all of the course syllabus.
The co-curricular projects vary from semester to semester. Below is a partial list of courses that have had RBDC sourced projects in the past. All courses are BYU-Idaho classes.
BUS 200 – Small Business Management
MATH 488 – Statistical Consulting
ECEN 499 – Senior Project
MECH 480 – Mechanical Engineering Design III: Capstone Design
B 351 – Social Media Marketing
Some classes may have prerequisites or be limited to specific majors.
